Amy Lee Diel is a seasoned communications professional with over 23 years of experience in public outreach, safety awareness, and strategic communications across Florida, with a focus on the Southeast region. A retired Sergeant from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, she served 20 years in law enforcement, including roles as a Hostage Negotiator and Detective, leading crisis response, emergency management, and community safety programs. She now applies her expertise to transportation safety and public involvement projects with FDOT, supporting education, enforcement, and policy initiatives. Holding a master’s in criminal justice administration, Ms. Diel is certified in public administration, emergency management, crisis communication, and more, making her a trusted leader in bridging infrastructure, safety, and public engagement.
