Auraliz “Lola” Benitez is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in engineering management from Florida International University (FIU). She began her career with FDOT District 6 as a PE Trainee, eventually joining the Internal Design team, where she served as a Project Engineer on various design projects. Since then, she has held multiple Project Management Engineer roles within Consultant Management in both District 4 and District 6. Lola has managed major transportation infrastructure projects, including the I-395/SR 836/I-95 Design-Build, several segments of the Golden Glades Interchange, and the I-95 Express Lanes in Miami-Dade County.
