Daniel graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Florida State University in 2004 and is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida. He began his career as a PE Trainee in District 3 in 2004 and worked in Midway Operations for 7 years as the Maintenance/Permits Engineer. He took a position with the State Maintenance Office in 2011 as the Contracts Engineer overseeing all traditional and Asset Maintenance Contracts. In 2015, he took a position in the Roadway Design Office as the MOT Engineer overseeing the Design Standards (now Standard Plans, 102-600 Series) as well as the MOT Training Program. In 2016, Daniel became the State Construction Specialty Engineer overseeing MOT, guardrail, signs, signals, pavement markings, ITS, utilities, ADA and CEI. In his current role, he serves as the State Specifications Engineer and has been in that position since 2019.
