Dean Stoddart is the FDOT State Transportation Landscape Architect (STLA). He manages the FDOT Highway Beautification Program, the Beautification Grant, and the Florida Scenic Highways Program. Prior to joining the FDOT, Dean worked with the Hunter Safety and Education department of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and the Division of Recreation and Parks, Florida Department of Environmental Protection. He’s worked for the State of Florida for the past 15 years and 16 years in the private and City government sectors. Previous projects Dean has been involved with include Habitat for Humanity design and builds, major retail centers, professional business parks, educational campuses, resorts, very high end residential, and major theme parks. Dean has traveled and explored domestic and international destinations instilling a worldwide perspective with all he becomes involved with. Dean brings to his current role as the STLA decades of experience in design, project management, and construction of roadways, infrastructure, buildings, hardscapes, and landscapes.
