Engy Samaan is the State Arterial Management Engineer for the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Connected Mobility and Technologies (CMTP) program as part of the State Traffic Engineering and Operations Office (TEOO). Through this role she oversees the State Arterial Management Program (STAMP), the State Wrong-Way Driving (WWD) Initiative, and the State Managed Lanes Program. Engy has served FDOT since 2019, previously working as a Project Development Engineer in the Office of Environmental Management. Through both of her roles at FDOT, Engy has supported key revisions to many FDOT publications, including the FDOT Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) Manual, the FDOT Design Manual (FDM), the FDOT Traffic Engineering Manual (TEM), and the Efficient Transportation Making (ETDM) Process. Originally from Egypt, Engy earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University in 2011 and has since earned her Master of Engineering in Transportation Leadership from the University of Florida in 2024. Engy is also a certified Professional Engineer (PE), a Certified Public Manager (CPM), and a Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM).
