Tina Russo has over 25 years of experience in the transportation safety field including currently working for FDOT D7 Safety Office as a bicycle pedestrian program manager. Tina provides expertise in crash analysis (Fatality Analysis Reporting System and Florida Statewide Signal4). She is an expert in predictive crash analysis and countermeasures using FARS and Signal4, data collection, and grant writing for including grants for Safe Streets For All (SS4A), SunTrail, Transportation Alternatives. Tina has been involved with Safe Routes to School working with the School System, Law Enforcement and several partner agencies. Conducted several road safety audits and micromobility counts. Tina’s main focus with D7 is outreach and bike ped safety enhancements. Tina’s background in law enforcement and active facility design and implementation elevates her understanding of the numerous agencies that play a role in safety planning. Tina has participated in ride-along shifts with the Florida Highway Patrol to better understand the causes of crashes, and she provides expertise in understanding the final police reports for analysis for performance safety measures. Her focus on multiagency coordination has included championing Target Zero (national/state initiatives) and Vision Zero (local projects). Tina is a cyclist and League of American Cycling Instructor.
