Yanique Kelly has been serving the Florida Department of Transportation at District 4 for 17 years and served in various offices. During her tenure as Rail Project and Safety Coordinator, Yanique coordinates FDOT projects with involvement along the South Florida Rail Corridor (SFRC) with the South Florida Railroad Authority (SFRTA). Over the years Yanique has led and supported multiple new rail development and maintenance projects ensuring compliance, federal requirements and project timelines are met. Yanique manages Federal Highway Administration Section 130 Program for signal safety improvements at railroad crossings that includes performing signal safety diagnostic and works with all railroads and the design team to implement improvements. Yanique is the Champion for “Be Rail Smart” the Rail Safety Campaign that raises awareness for rail safety throughout FDOT District 4. She aligns campaign goals with the FDOT mission and values ensuring that the community and local stakeholders are well educated on rail safety. Yanique holds a bachelor’s degree in Public and Cultural Communication from the University of South Florida. Where she gained her superpower of connecting with people and building lasting relationships.
